We understand how much trust it takes to let someone into a loved one’s home. So we take our time. We explain options clearly, walk through every door with you, and make sure everyone feels safe and heard. We approach every home with patience, respect, and real care.

Rekeying after caregivers, helpers, or old keys

Over the years, keys get handed out: to caregivers, cleaners, neighbors, contractors, and family members who have since moved away. You can’t always know where every copy went.

Rekey the locks you have. We change the pins inside so the old keys stop working, and you get a fresh set that only you hand out.
After a change in care. When a caregiver or helper moves on, a rekey is a simple way to start fresh.
Hidden spare keys. We help you find and retire the key under the mat or in the fake rock.

Easier-to-use locks and lever handles

Small round knobs and stiff deadbolts can be hard on hands. We can recommend and install hardware that is simpler to use every day:

Lever handles that open with a push instead of a tight grip and twist.
Deadbolts with larger thumb turns that are easier to lock and unlock from the inside.
Doors that close and latch easily. We check and adjust strikes and deadbolts so the door doesn’t need a hard push or pull.

We show you each lock before we leave and make sure it works comfortably for the person who uses it most.

Key control: knowing who has keys

Peace of mind starts with a short list. We help you decide who should have a key, and keep that list small:

One set for the homeowner, and one for a trusted family member.
Spares accounted for, not scattered.
A fresh rekey any time the list changes.

Lock changes after a move to a smaller home

Moving to a smaller home, condo, or apartment is a big change. Previous owners, tenants, builders, and contractors may still have keys. We rekey or change the exterior locks in one appointment, so the new place feels like home from the first night.

We walk through the home with you, or with the family member who asked us to come, and look at every exterior door:

Locks and deadbolts that are worn, loose, or hard to turn.
Doors that stick or don’t latch on their own.
Strike plates and reinforced doors that hold the door firmly in its frame.
The door from the garage into the house, which is often forgotten.

We explain what we see in plain language and give you honest recommendations. You decide what to do, and we tell you the cost before we start.

Many of our calls come from sons, daughters, and other family members who live nearby or out of town. You can book the appointment for your parent, tell us what you’re worried about, and we’ll coordinate a time that works for them.

Can I book an appointment for my parent?

Yes. Many of our appointments are booked by family members. Call or text (470) 756-0417, tell us what you'd like checked, and we'll set a time that works for your parent.

Should I rekey after a caregiver or helper leaves?

It's a simple way to start fresh. A rekey makes the old keys stop working, and you decide who gets the new ones.

Can you make locks easier to use?

Yes. We can install lever handles and deadbolts with larger thumb turns, and adjust doors so they close and latch without a hard push.

What happens during a home security check?

We walk through each exterior door with you, check the locks, deadbolts, strikes, and latching, and explain what we see in plain language before recommending anything.

Do you do lockouts or emergency calls?

No. We work by appointment only, so we have time to be patient, do the job right, and explain it.
